There are some things money can't buy. But that doesn't keep the media from trying to sell them to us.
You are about to go on a journey through time to discover how technology has changed the face of marketing and advertisements.
You know that the world is a different place than it was when your parents were in grade 11. You have heard the stories of how back in the day kids your age had to walk 14 kilometers to school—uphill and shoeless—to sit and take notes and listen to lectures for hours on end, with no cell phones to relieve their boredom. Computer labs like this one didn’t exist because computers had yet to be conceived and therefore, school board filters could not be hacked to access facebook. The previous generation was left to “chat” in person, not digitally. Bullying was done physically, not on a cyber plane. Relationships were identifiable by hand-holding, not updated, online statuses.
How did this generation survive? How did they know what products were cool without reality TV assigning them material desires?
Just do it.
